Three large format PIXoils™ digital masterworks, Fort Mountain, Hungry Fox Equinox, and Flute of the Loon are being featured in the 2022-2023 winter gallery exhibition at Montana Trails Gallery in Bozeman, MT.
The works feature the visual artistry of Marshall McLaury Monroe in the unique collaborative environment made possible by the platform. The gallery show, Big Medicine, opened Friday, November 18, and will be on display at Montana Trails through the new year.
“PIXoils™ is a voyage of discovery in the digital frontier,” noted Marshall McLaury Monroe in reflecting on the new milestones being reached with the platform. “So it’s great we can showcase it here in the American West. We’re inventing a new experience; truly path-finding fine art using dynamic visual and acoustic sensory environments. We’ve only begun to explore what we can do with these new tools we’re creating, and we love sharing the pieces working with great partners like Maria Abad and the Montana Trails Gallery.”
Bozeman is a fitting setting for these masterworks, as it has been a hub of the West since its founding in the mid-1800s. Today Bozeman serves as the gateway to the resort town of Big Sky, the Lone Peak recreation areas, and the prestigious Yellowstone Club. PIXoils™ is a platform uniquely positioned to help convey and even embody the spirit of the West with digital canvas. The works range from 10 to 19 minutes in duration, and feature seasons, atmospheric effects, and intriguing narrative moments.
“We’re excited about this show, as the opportunity to showcase our Digital Canvas vision in such a historic and sophisticated venue. We have multiple collectors of these works in the Yellowstone Club and now we’re making this amazing new sensory experience available to a broader community of art lovers,” said Hannah Monroe, speaking at the opening evening reception.
